Naloxone Administration & Opioid Education Training

Course Description

This is a two hour training that can be conducted in-person or virtually that is designed to educate first responders and community members on the Comprehensive Addictions Recovery Act (CARA), the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board FR-CARA Project, facts about opioids and the opioid epidemic, how to identify opioid overdoses, about naloxone, and how to administer naloxone to opioid overdose sufferers.


Learning Objectives

  • Learn about what opioids are and why they can be dangerous if misused.
  • Learn how to identify an opioid overdose.
  • Learn how to administer Narcan 4mg naloxone nasal spray in the event of an opioid overdose.
