Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention
DISCLAIMER – This session will discuss information about suicide which may be triggering to some people. There will be licensed professional counselors present for those seeking resources and interested in additional support.

Shiela Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Board approved supervisor. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology degree from Southern Nazarene University where she is an Adjunct Professor. Shiela currently serves as a Project Coordinator for two suicide prevention grants for Southern Plains Tribal Health Board. She is a certified trainer in Mental Health First Aid, Question Persuade Refer (QPR), Suicide Prevention in the Workplace, and Lifelines.
As a public speaker, Shiela believes in giving honest information in a creative, relatable, and transparent approach. Providing professional development through education serves as a catalyst in bringing awareness to those affected by mental illness, substance misuse, suicide, and trauma. Shiela has spoken at state, government, tribal, and school-based conferences. She believes that building strong partnerships and advocacy are the foundation of her purpose.
