White Bison’s Mending Broken Hearts
Those who attend this training will learn how to facilitate healing from unresolved grief, historical trauma, and intergenerational trauma for themselves and their community. The training is grounded in Native American cultures, traditions and ceremonies. It particularly focuses on the effects of the Boarding School Era and the ways that trauma and grief affect personal relationships. Upon completion of the training, participants will be certified to implement White Bison’s Mending Broken Hearts curriculum in their community. They will be equipped to organize and lead community talking circles, apply traditional ceremonies to the grieving process, and assist friends and family members in dealing with grief and trauma. Community members, those in recovery, and mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse professionals are encouraged to attend. The training is FREE, with 25 spots available. Registration is required.
